I can't figure us out right now. We're winning the league by a mile, yet we haven't had a good game since late February (Newcastle in the league). That's almost two whole months being pants while also being champions elect.
Our attack is awful, but at least we keep trying the exact same awful attack. We have loads of attacking talent on the bench, which, when they (rarely) come on, show that talent. But we have a Dutch coach. And the more Dutchmen you've met, the more you nod your head at that baffling behaviour and say, ah, yes.
Trent isn't a horrible person, but he's a horrible scouser.
I'm not privileged enough to live in Liverpool or know Trent personally, so I couldn't tell you how horrible he is.
He did get his ass back for these games fitness wise, and he scored. You can do anything if you're scoring... goals turn frogs into princes again.
What I find interesting is that should Real Madrid take him, that's potentially better for us when we have to play them. The important conflicts (assuming they aren't finals) will be two-legged affairs, and I don't see Trent as the type to rise above playing once again at Anfield. Madrid fans will never love him more than we'll hate him that day.
On the Leicester game, I've decided it wasn't a game. It takes two to tango, and Leicester didn't even try to win at any point. Even with total clarity of purpose given their place in the league - nothing.
I think we'll see the full extent of the champions against Spurs.
